What this is
Uncovering.Us makes tee shirts out of sentences.
Eleven of them, so far. No graphics, no slogans shouted in capitals — just a sentence somebody needed to hear, set in type and worn out into the world. The hope is that someone reads one across the coffee line and thinks is that for me? It usually is.
Three ways of saying it

The shirts
- Heavyweight crews — new. Comfort Colors 1717, 100% ring-spun cotton, 6.1 oz/yd² (207 gsm), garment-dyed so every shirt comes out a little different. Relaxed fit. Moss, Pepper, Blue Jean and Ivory, S–4XL. The phrase is printed big across the chest in a soft, heavy serif, and our name sits small on the back of the neck. Extraordinarily Ordinary, I hope you're having a good time, Stop fighting, Be kind, tell the truth, have fun and Be uncomfortable are on these now.
- Original crews. AS Colour 5001T, 100% combed cotton, 5.3 oz/yd² (180 gsm) — midweight, regular fit. Bone, Natural, Black and Navy, XS–3XL.
- V-necks. Bella+Canvas 3005, 100% combed and ring-spun cotton, 4.2 oz/yd² (142 gsm) — lighter, with more drape. Athletic Heather, White, Black and Navy, S–2XL, plus XS in Navy.
- Blanks are milled abroad and printed here — direct-to-garment, one shirt at a time, in the United States. Pale shirts take a dark ink; the dark ones take a light one.
What we decided early
One price in every size. The heavyweight crews are $29 from S to 4XL; everything else is $36 in every size. The conventional move is to upcharge extended sizes. A shirt that says you belong here cannot in good conscience charge more for a bigger body, so the price absorbs the difference instead.
No fake sales. No inflated "original" prices with a line through them, no countdown clocks. The price you see is the price.
Nothing printed in advance. Every shirt is printed after you order it. Nothing sits in a warehouse waiting to be marked down or thrown away.
Shipping. $4.95 anywhere in the United States, which is the only place we ship at the moment.
Where the phrases come from
Most started as something somebody needed to hear on a hard day. A few come out of rooms where people practice telling each other the truth — stop fighting in particular, which is not surrender as defeat but surrender as the way through. You stop wrestling what is already true and find there was never anything holding you but the grip.
