Said in the first person. Not to someone else, and not about a way of living — about yourself.

Each one is set in EB Garamond italic, lowercase, small, and placed high on the chest. Italic is the mark of a voice: where our precepts are carved, these are spoken. The lowercase i is on purpose. A capital would argue with the sentence.

None of these is an aspiration. They're things that are already true, and the only work is admitting it out loud on a shirt somebody has to stand close to read.
